Movie News: OCULUS Eyes BSG's Katee Sackhoff...

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’s Katee Sackhoff, aka Starbuck 2.0, has signed on to co-star in OCULUS, the new horror movie from up-and-coming director Mike Flanagan.

Sackhoff will portray (through flashback) Marie, mother of Karen Gillan’s lead character Kaylie, a young woman who thinks an antique mirror was to blame for the mysterious death of her parents years ago, a crime her brother was jailed for.

OCULUS has had a long journey to the screen, with Flangan originally producing it as an Award Winning short back in 2009. Alas, despite digging around we couldn’t find the full film for you, but here’s its trailer. Though it was clearly shot on a miniscule budget, there’s a lot of promise here…

With any luck this project will be a significant improvement on the last haunted mirror flick, Kiefer Sutherland clunker MIRRORS.
