Movie News

Van Damme and Lundgren are back!!! Together again for the first time since... last month's EXPENDABLES 2. Bit anti-climatic that. Well, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER fans are in for a treat anyway, as DAY OF RECKONING sees the pair reprise their characters created in the 1992 original and last seen in 2009's UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION. Despite being the sixth film in the series, DAY OF RECKONING is only the third to be accepted as canon (UNIVERSAL SOLDIER II: BROTHERS IN ARMS; UNIVERSAL SOLDIER III: UNFINISHED BUSINESS and UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: THE RETURN are all cheeky pretenders, unworthy of Devlin & Emmerich's genius).

Anyway, the new poster hit the internets today, and you can check it out below...

Gotta love the fact he stopped a machete blow... by blocking the blade with his wrist. Now that's badass.

UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING only has Stateside releases scheduled at the mo' (October 25th on VOD, November 30th limited theatrical run), but expect it to premiere on DVD/Blu-ray early 2013.
