Movie News: HANSEL AND GRETEL WITCH HUNTERS Not Looking So Grimm After All! First Trailer Hits....

Initially bound for a March 2012 release, Paramount unceremoniously yanked HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS from their schedule at the eleventh hour and announced that it would be delayed by a full year. Obviously that rang a few alarm bells with people (including us), despite the studio's official line that the they were strategically waiting for Jeremy Renner's star to rise. And having been featured in two of the year's biggest movies so far, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL and AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, not to mention inheriting his own franchise in THE BOURNE LEGACY, they might just have been onto something. It certainly suggests confidence on their part that they've released this first trailer so far in advance, and having just watched it ourselves, we don't think Paramount were telling porkies after all. It looks ace!
