Movie News: Whip-Tash!!! RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK Hits IMAX [Updated] UK Screenings Confirmed!

That's right, the man in the hat is back! And it's not just those lucky folks Stateside who will get to see Indy pop his IMAX cherry (though we were a bit worried there), us lot in the UK can witness RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK from September 21st at one of the following venues:

BFI Waterloo
Odeon Braehead
Odeon Cardiff 
Odeon Gateshead Metro Centre 
Odeon Greenwich 
Odeon Kingston 
Odeon Liverpool One 
Odeon Norwich 
Odeon Southampton 
Odeon Swiss Cottage 
Odeon Uxbridge 
Odeon Wimbledon 
Cineworld Crawley 
Cineworld Edinburgh 
Cineworld Sheffield

Spielberg, not one known for adopting such deviations from the norm, had this to say:

“When I saw the stunning quality of the picture and heard the enhanced sound in an IMAX theatre, I was quite literally blown away and hope that audiences will enjoy the experience as much as I did."

We will do Steve, we will. While we count down the days until it hits, why not take in the US IMAX trailer again...

INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDER OF THE LOST ARK opens in selected IMAX theatres September 7th in the US, and if you didn't jot it down earlier, September 21st here in the UK.
