Movie News: GRIM NIGHT Snags a Director

A while back we reported on an interesting sounding found footage film called GRIM NIGHT which was notable for being the return of THE STRANGERS director Bryan Bertino albeit in a producer capacity. Now the production is gathering momentum as it has signed German director Dennis Gansel (WE ARE THE NIGHT) to direct.

The screenplay for GRIM NIGHT tells the story of the one night of the year where everyone is petrified due to Grim Reapers or ‘Grims’ visiting the earth to take the souls of the living and wipe out thousands of lives. The story will focus on one American family during this fateful night. The screenplay is by Brandon Bestenheider and Allen Bey.

Bertino and Marc Platt will produce the project through Universal Pictures. You can check out the pretty cool pitch trailer below...
