Movie News: Whedon Confirmed for THE AVENGERS 2 + Marvel TV Show

Great news coming in for anyone who enjoyed THE AVENGERS/AVENGERS ASSEMBLE as much as we did. It seems that during a conference call about the fortunes of the Disney Empire it was confirmed that Joss Whedon would return to write and direct THE AVENGERS 2/AVENGERS RE-ASSEMBLE or whatever they end up calling the sequel.

Whedon has actually signed a deal with Marvel which gives them his services through until the end of 2015 and will also include the as yet unnamed TV show produced through Marvel for the ABC network (read more about that here).

So the sequel to one of the biggest films of the year so far is in safe hands but what will the TV show be? Whedon will be a creative consultant on the show which makes sense seeing as his track record here is pretty sterling as far as TV goes. Will it be THE INCREDIBLE HULK which has Guillermo Del Toro also attached or will it be ALIAS or AKA JESSICA JONES? Or an as yet unnamed show dealing with cops in the super-powered universe? As soon as we know more, so will you.
