Movie News: The Wachowskis Unveil First Trailer For CLOUD ATLAS...

Written by Kris Heys Thursday, 26 July 2012

Movie News

Cloud Atlas

Prepare to forgive The Wachowskis for all their post MATRIX cinematic crimes, for in five minutes time you’ll forget the hours you wasted watching RELOADED, REVOLUTION, NINJA ASSASSIN and SPEED RACER (actually I kinda dug that but I’m aware that I’m in a huge minority), because CLOUD ATLAS looks absolutely phenomenal. Glaring comparisons with THE FOUNTAIN aside.

You can watch it in HD over at iTunes by clicking HERE, where you'll also find a short introduction to the movie featuring directors Tom Tywker (RUN LOLA RUN) and Andy & Lana Wachowski, who are apparently a lot less reclusive and camera shy than the used to be. Good on them.

Alternatively, the embed has now been officially released, so if you're not a lover of Apple you can enjoy it right here...

You must have the Adobe Flash Player installed to view this player.

Official Synopsis:

"Cloud Atlas" explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

Featuring an all-star cast, including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Zhou Zun, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, CLOUD ATLAS is will hit cinemas next year (sadly not October like the IMDb says).

The synopsis sounds like a remake of 'The Fountain'!
