Movie News

This early promo from wily producing team The Bandito Brothers (ACT OF VALOR), has been generating a whole lot of buzz since industry site Deadline broke it, and while interesting, we’re not going to jump on the bandwagon and herald the coming of some amazing new flick like most. It’s well worthy of our attentions obviously, but for this writer at least I’m having trouble seeing anything particularly special here. It’s especially baffling that the reports are stating this cost “under $40m” because as impressive as it looks it doesn’t look forty million dollars worth of impressive. Though technically using the ‘under’ prefix does actually allow its budget to fall $39.5m short of that figure I guess. Now that would be impressive! As it stands, this looks particularly cheap, poorly acted and badly edited. The Prototype himself though, a sentient robot on the run, looks badass! Check it out for yourselves and see what you think…

We’ll hold out to see how this winds up looking once it’s finally finished (at least we hope it's not finished yet, otherwise - yikes!). This appears to have been rushed out in an effort to get studios interested in picking it up – and if the net is to believed that won’t take long, with the Bros already inundated with offers.

We'll have more on this as it develops...
