Twentieth Century Fox have stopped monkeying around and finally granted their much-anticipated APES sequel a title! As of May 23rd 2014, cinema audiences will be able to witness the DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. As we’re all now used to the clumsy ‘of the, of the’ titling used in 2011’s box office hit (originally called simply RISE OF THE APES), we’re very happy they’re keeping it very much in the tone of the original series. No lazy roman numerals or semi-colons here, no sir.
As previously reported, CONTAGION writer Scott Z. Burns has been brought aboard to pen the script (very apt), and Rupert Wyatt will once again return to direct Andy Serkis in the role of Caesar.
