Producer of note Edward R.Pressman (THE CROW, CONAN, JUDGE DREDD) has obtained the movie rights to a graphic novel called FEEDING GROUND by Swifty Lang, Michael Lapinski and Chris Mangun.
The story concerns a man who trafficks illegal immigrants across the border and is forced to smuggle his own family into America after getting in hot water with the mob. Whilst being pursued the family find themselves on ‘Devils Highway’ and are stalked by ferocious supernatural creatures.
Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will direct from a screenplay adaptation by Carlos Coto. The current and sort of daring plan, will have the Spanish speaking characters speak Spanish only and the American’s speak English which will create a truly authentic international feel for the film.
This seems outside of Pressman’s usual remake/comic book movie wheelhouse but is based on a graphic novel. I’m intrigued, anyone read it?
