Movie News: Latest PROMETHEUS Featurette Reveals New Footage...

Written by Kris Heys

Movie News

We kind of feared this would happen.

After holding their cards tightly to their chest for the entire time of conception through to production, now the film is only a month and change away, it's over to the Fox marketing division to ensure they bring out the big guns when it comes to getting bums on seats. Although PROMETHEUS pimping hasn't reached the level of spoilerific images and clips that AVENGERS ASSEMBLE bombarded us with (yet), we're already getting the feeling we're seeing just a little too much of the movie and its secrets.

That said, it's our job to report on this stuff, so here's the newly released featurette on the film should you crave more...

We just wish all their promos could be as inspired as the recent David 8 and TED viral vids, each serving to simultaneously promote and add to the film's mythology while using zero footage from the movie itself. More please!

Official Synopsis:

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

PROMETHEUS is released June 1st, and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Ben Foster and Patrick Wilson.
