Walden Media the production company behind the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA films has acquired the rights to James Turner’s comic book REX LIBRIS.

REX LIBRIS is a librarian with a powerful punch who defends Middleton Public Library from zombies, monsters and alien warlords. Rex is a member of the secret powerful book society Ordo Biblioteca. The comic will be adapted for the screen by the unknown Ben Zavove who so far is only credited as the writer on THE TOOTH FAIRY 2.

This sounds great to me, further research on the comic reveals a very retro style and that Rex actually uses teleportation to reach the farthest reaches of the universe. He is like Green Lantern if Hal Jordan were a librarian and not a test pilot. Right I’m off out to track this comic down. Anyone read it?
