Movie News: First Trailer For SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD

Well, this film just went from mildly interesting to the top of my must see list in 2012. SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD is due out this summer and is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria who previously wrote the Michael Cera vehicle NICK AND NORAH’S INFINITE PLAYLIST. This film is a comedy drama about what happens to a lonely man, played by Steve Carell when an asteroid is days away from obliterating the Earth. He meets his neighbour played by Keira Knightley, they bond, go on a road trip and things get quirky. A trailer has now been released:

The film also stars Rob Corddry, Patton Oswalt, Melanie Lynskey and William Petersen. No word on a UK release date yet but the US release is pencilled in for June 22nd.
