Movie News

Comedian turned actor Billy Connolly has officially joined the cast of Peter Jackson's THE HOBBIT in a last minute addition...

It's the final casting according to Jackson himself, with Connolly set to play the role of dwarf Dain Ironfoot, cousin of Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Amitage).

Exactly.

Personally, I find the supposed funnyman as hilarious as I do bowel cancer, and I'm not entirely enthusiastic about his acting career either (although FIDO still sits on my DVD shelf awaiting a watch, maybe that will convince) but in Jackson's judgment we trust. What say you guys?

THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY is released on December 14th 2012, with part two THE HOBBIT: THERE AND BACK AGAIN December 13th 2013.
