Having not heard anything on this since last August, we thought the project might have crawled under something and quietly died a dignified death, but seems not - SHORT CIRCUIT is very much still happening.

And to prove they mean business, makers Dimension films have only gone and hired a writer - with newcomer Matt Lieberman now responsible for desecrating our beloved memories of the killing machine with a heart of gold and a blacked-up Fisher Stephens.

As we previous reported warned, Tim Hill, the director who inflicted those annoying CHIPMUNK movies unto the world, is at the helm. Yay. This is going to be brilliant.
