Movie News

One of the most terrifying cinema experiences of 2011 was INSIDIOUS. You can gripe about how derivative it was all you like but in terms of execution and craft there was nothing else in horror that could touch it. Due to its low budget the film was a massive hit so it’s inevitable that a sequel will follow at some point.

Original director James Wan is now in talks to come on board the sequel with his writing partner Leigh Whannell. At the moment it's unclear what the story would be, although the ending of the first movie certainly leaves room for more.

I hope that the sequel explores the concept of the ‘Further’ which is the netherworld in which the spirits dwell. There is no telling what kinds of other terrifying demons lurk in there just waiting to come into our world.

More on this soon...
