With James Cameron currently working away on his four Avatar sequels, now comes news on another returning figure for the franchise.

As well as Cameron on board, it’s been long known that Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang were all returning to Pandora, and now Deadline is reporting that Joel David Moore will be back as well. The Dodgeball, Shark Night and Bones actor played the role of scientist Norm Spellman in Cameron’s original Avatar movie. In terms of other cast members, the only new addition to the series so far is Fear the Walking Dead’s Cliff Curtis.

After having things pushed back and pushed back and pushed back, the current release schedule has Avatar 2 booked in for December 2020, Avatar 3 for December 2021, Avatar 4 for December 2024, and Avatar 5 for December 2025.
