As the pieces continue to come together for Mission: Impossible 6, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has moved to reveal that Henry Cavill has joined the film.

McQuarrie broke the news on his Instagram account, and the current cinematic Superman joins a cast that’s presently made up of Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Vanessa Kirby.

Production on the sixth entry in the franchise is currently set to start on April 10th in Paris ahead of a July 27th, 2018 release. No further details are known in terms of cast or any plot right now, but expect to be hearing a whole lot more on those topics over the next few months.
