Prologue Short Introduces ALIEN: COVENANT Cast

Movie News

Ahead of Alien: Covenant’s May release, a rather cool prologue has been released to whet your appetite for Ridley Scott’s movie.

Debuting with the most recent episode of Legion, the footage gives us a bit of an introduction to some of the film’s key players as they get together for their last supper before heading into cryosleep. The plan is that when they wake up they’ll be nearing a distant planet where they can form a new human settlement. Of course, things won’t be quite as smooth as these unsuspecting souls sadly think.

The official synopsis on Alien: Covenant reads:

Set as the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus, Alien: Covenant connects directly to Ridley Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. It begins with the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. There, the crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

With a cast including Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ijogo, Callie Hernandez, James Franco and possibly Noomi Rapace, Alien: Covenant is currently set for a May 19th release.
