Movie News

Why this thing is still casting so late in the game is anyone's guess, but fans of Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed political series THE WEST WING will be chuffed to know that Toby Ziegler himself, aka actor Richard Schiff, has now joined the swelling line-up as Doctor Hamilton...

The Schiff

Hamilton was (in the original comic book continuity at least, lord knows what DC will have done to him now) a professor working for S.T.A.R. Labs, and regularly aided Supes with sciencey type stuff when super strength, speed, flight, eye-lasers and the like just couldn't cut it. So if this is the approach Zack Snyder chooses, it looks like his relationship to Cavill's Man of Steel will be very much like that of Morgan Freeman's Lucius Fox to Bale's Bats. Hmm.

Or... crazy theory coming, hear us out... maybe this is a curve ball in response to the tasty rumour we reported on last week that Bradley Cooper was to appear as Lex Luthor. Ok, so Cooper's involvement was quickly debunked however, but nobody said squat about Luthor. Could Superman's arch nemesis be heading to Smallville after all? And could it be in the form of Schiff! Though he'll need a groom first naturally (bearded Luthor would just be plain weird) we can definitely see it. How about you guys?

MAN OF STEEL also stars Amy Adams as Lois, Ayelet Zurer & Russell Crowe as Superman's biological mother & father, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, and Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent.

Expect it to fly into our cinemas June 14th 2013.
