Movie News

Hmmm. Is it just us, or does this smack a little of desperation?

Having moved on from simply chucking a bunch of teens into a haunted cabin in the woods (well, if you discount this year's CABIN IN THE WOODS obviously) filmmakers have tried to put a new spin on the single location horror flick of late by opening it up to elevators (DEVIL), coffins (BURIED), skylifts (FROZEN), the sea (OPEN WATER) and saunas (the upcoming 247F). Now first-time director David Brooks and Chris Sparling (writer of the aforementioned BURIED) have come up with the novel idea of trapping their victims inside an ATM. Ok, so there's a hooded killer waiting for them outside but still, this schtick is starting to wear a little thin.

Have a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think...

ATM opens in the US later this year. We're probably looking at a straight-to-dvd release here in the UK.
