Movie News: First Image From THE BOURNE LEGACY Released... [Updated] with Equally Bland Poster

Movie News

We're hoping this is of interest to at least a couple of you out there, but here at Starburst we're supremely sceptical at the prospect of a Bourne-less BOURNE movie. Even more so since it stars the bewilderingly popular Jeremy Renner (though fair play, he was fun to watch in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE GHOST PROTOCOL).

Anyway, here it is folks, the moment lord-knows-who-if-at-all-anybody's been waiting for - the first image from THE BOURNE LEGACY...

Who here thinks Universal has a tough sell on their hands?

[UPDATE]

And they'll have an even tougher sell if this is the best poster they can cook up. We know it's only a teaser but come on guys!

THE BOURNE LEGACY is directed by Tony Gilroy, screenwriter of all three previous entries, and will arrive in UK cinemas August 17th.

I really wonder if this movie is indeed necessary. Paul and Matt et al really did a good job tying this trilogy up, even if it was only "loosely" based on the source material.

Blimey. He looks like he's on his way round to fix someone's plumbing...

A Bourne-less Bourne movie (with Bourne probably to return in Part Five, if I'm not wrong?) might sound like a curious beast ... but that's exactly it, I AM curious! Let's face it, has any other franchise dropped its leading man for an episode? This COULD potentially be very interesting indeed!

Didn't this guy just get his ass kicked in a bar in Thailand?
