Movie News: Will SKYFALL Have a New Composer?

Movie News

It's being reported that SKYFALL could be the first Bond film since TOMORROW NEVER DIES to utilise a non-David Arnold score. If the rumours prove true, Bond's next adventure will be accompanied by music from the legendary Thomas Newman.

Previous Newman scores include many for SKYFALL director Sam Mendes himself, most notably AMERICAN BEAUTY. We'll also have heard his work on the likes of WALL-E, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU, SIX FEET UNDER and FINDING NEMO.

With the music of a Bond film being just important as the actor portraying the spy himself, a change of composer at this stage (mid-reboot) could be a risky strategy, and might jar if not done correctly.

We'll let you know as soon as MGM confirms yay or nay...

SKYFALL drops October 26th 2012.
