Movie News: EVIL DEAD Reboot Possesses Its First Victim...

Movie News

Lily Collins, daughter of Phil and star of Tarsem Singh's upcoming MIRROR MIRROR, is the first actress to be cast in the much-feared (for the wrong reasons) remake of the 1982 horror classic THE EVIL DEAD.

It's reported (by the good fellas at BloodyDisgusting) that the increasingly in-demand actress will be playing the lead role of Mia, a teen who is taken to the cabin in an effort to wean her off her pesky drug problem. Things, obviously, don't go to plan when they come across a certain book and all hell breaks loose. Literally.

Here's Colins in case you haven't a clue who we're going on about, (just picture her covered in blood and assorted multi-colured demonic bodily fluids and you'll have an idea what she'll look like in the actual movie)...

Actually, she looks disturbingly corpse-like already in that pic, doesn't she... Maybe we should have gone with this one...

Yes. That's better. (But why do I have the sudden urge to watch THE DARK CRYSTAL?)

We've long come to terms with the fact that Raimi and co. have chosen to reboot their franchise instead of giving us all the EVIL DEAD 4 we craved, so it's time to just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Director Fede Alvarez could, after all, have something rather special in store for us. Stranger things have happened.

Like a girl being born 70% eyebrow.

EVIL DEAD opens April 13th 2013, MIRROR MIRROR March 16th.

I think the guys of Evil could be on to something with their lil remakes here, and why not. At least they are stealing from their own backyard instead of the neighbours as is the norm now with film makers.

And yes that girl has a whole lot of eyebrow going on there, with the other 30% being her forehead. lol Now now we must not judge kids, since she only looks about 12. :)
