Movie News

In some sad news, this past weekend saw Fritz Weaver pass away at the age of 90.

To us genre fans, Weaver was a prolific presence at one point in time, appearing in the likes of The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, The X-Files, Friday the 13th: The Series, The Martian Chronicles, Night Gallery, Holocaust (for which he was nominated for an Emmy), Star Trek: Deep Space NineJaws of Satan, Demon Seed, The Legend of Lizzie Borden, Marathon Man, The Thomas Crown Affair and in the stunning Creepshow segment, The Crate.

The cause of death is currently unknown at this stage, although Fritz passed away at his Manhattan home on Saturday. He’s survived by his wife, daughter, son, and grandson.

The thoughts of all at STARBURST go out to the family, friends and fans of Fritz Weaver at this sad time. Rest in peace, sir.
