Movie News

Here it is folks, the moment we've all been waiting for - the full DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer has finally been unleashed!

Head over Apple Trailers to watch it in sumptuous HD (but don't forget to come straight back and give us your thoughts), or watch the embed below...

Seen it? Good. Now we can talk about it...

While it's nice to see all those dozens of leaked set pics finally being brought to life (especially the incredible looking Gotham stadium set-piece), I've got to admit - it didn't actually do much for me. The rumours of Bane's voice being pretty difficult to hear prove all too true, and I'm still thoroughly dubious of Nolan touting this as an 'epic' trilogy ender - film one: Bruce Wayne learns to be Batman; film two: Batman does some stuff, the Joker messes with his head, Batman gives it legs; film three: Batman returns after eight years in exile (what?) only to get battered by Bane (if the poster is to be taken on face value that is). It's hardly a fitting story arc for the Caped Crusader we've all come to know and love.

Hopefully I'll be proved wrong when the thing is released next July, but for now the hype isn't quite working for me.

Got a sneaky feeling I'm going to alone on this one.

Begins was pretty much the perfect Batman movie. Dark Knight was a snore festival. I'm sorry, but it was. Therefore I refuse to get hyped for this. Still love every other Nolan flick, Memento and Prestige especially, but he'd better pull something really special out of his ass to make up for Dark Knight.

Really wasn't that fussed on Nolan's earlier Batflicks and this looks like more of the same. Portentous and pretentious. Adam West, now THAT's Batman!
