THE CROW Remake to Shoot in January

It was only last month that Jason Momoa was the latest name linked to the starring role in Corin Hardy’s upcoming redo of The Crow, and now comes an update on when the film could get going.

According to The Wrap, the current plan is for The Crow to start shooting in January, meaning that officially finding a new Eric Draven will be a priority over the next few weeks and months.

Momoa, best known for the likes of Game of Thrones, Conan, and for playing Aquaman in the DCEU, is believed to be in advanced talks to headline this new take on an old favourite, although he’s not signed on to the feature just yet. Previously, names such as Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, Jack Huston, and Tom Hiddleston were in the frame to star in Hardy’s redo, and now Momoa looks like the man set to be tasked with bringing Draven back to life.

After some financial issues, it looks as if all is now “go” again on The Crow, with the film believed to pull more direct influence from James O’Barr’s original 1989 miniseries. That miniseries, of course, was famously turned into a 1994 Brandon Lee-starring movie, which itself spawned a TV series and three further movies.

As ever, expect more on all of this as and when it develops.
