Movie News

Actress Eva Green is currently in talks to take the female lead in the upcoming prequel to 300...

Previous saddled with the somewhat problematic title of XERXES, the newly branded 300: BATTLE FOR ARTEMISIA will see Green portray Artemisia herself, the golden goddess who convinces fallen king Xerxes into once more waging war on Greek forces.

Green was last seen in the TV show CAMELOT, but is probably best known to genre fans for her portrayal of Vesper Lynd in CASINO ROYALE. She will next be seen in Tim Burton's DARK SHADOWS.

Warner Bros. & Legendary Pictures plan to start shooting 300: BATTLE FOR ARTEMISIA early next year, with Noam Murro (SMART PEOPLE) wielding the megaphone. We're still baffled by the choice of director.

What an intriguing addition to an already interesting movie idea. That golden headdress makes Eva look positively divine. I look forward to this movie.

Eva is beautiful, and this is the first time i have seen her! She looks a little like a young Patricia Arquette with black hair on a old post. And from Eva's past work, she seems like a good choice.

She should get it!
