Movie News

Looks like Bryan Singer might have learnt a thing or two from the horrible fan reaction to his criminally boring Supes reboot, as the following trailer seems to pack in more action and inventiveness in its short running time than the two and a half hours it took to slog through SUPERMAN RETURNS.

Buzz has been relatively non-existant for the director's re-imagining of the classic fairytale, but we predict that's all going to change once these JACK THE GIANT KILLER promos start hitting cinema screens. It certainly made us sit up and take notice, that's for sure.

Check it out for yourselves and let us know what you think...

Official synopsis...

'Jack the Giant Killer' tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend - and gets the chance to become a legend himself.'

The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson and Ewan McGregor.
Bryan Singer directs from a script by longtime collaborator Christopher McQuarrie.

JACK THE GIANT KILLER stomps its way into UK cinemas June 15th 2012.
