Kiefer Sutherland Joining the FLATLINERS Remake

Movie News

In some interesting news, the Flatliners remake is close to adding Kiefer Sutherland to its cast.

Sutherland famously played Nelson in the original 1990 Flatliners movie, and Deadline reports that the actor is deep in talks for the redo but nothing has been finalized as of this moment. It’s expected that Sutherland will officially join the remake any day now.

All that we know about this new take on an old favourite so far is that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s Niels Arden Oplev will be directing, and that Ellen Page, Diego Luna, James Norton, Nina Dobrev and Kiersey Clemens are currently on board to star. Production is due to start in Toronto over the next week or so.

The original plot of the sci-fi thriller centred on a group of medical students who purposely die and then bring each other back to life so that they can look to explore the notion of near death experiences.
