Movie News

In some truly saddening news, Anton Yelchin has passed away at the age of 27. The talented young actor was involved in a fatal car accident on Sunday morning, his publicist his confirmed.

Born in Russia to professional figure skating parents, Yelchin went on to become a favourite of many a genre fan for his turns in the likes of Alpha Dog, Terminator Salvation, the Fright Night remake, the fantastic Odd Thomas, Burying the Ex, Green Room and, of course, as Chekov in Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness and the upcoming Star Trek Beyond.

Whilst recent weeks have seen hoax reports of the deaths of the likes of Jack Black and Vin Diesel, this news sadly appears to be genuine.

The thoughts of all at STARBURST go out to the friends, family and fans of Anton Yelchin. Rest in peace.
