Movie News

Ready for some random sequel news? Yes, as the title suggests, Mel Gibson is looking to do a sequel to 2004’s The Passion of the Christ. Holy nails, Batman!

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, with Gibson looking to re-team with Braveheart writer Randall Wallace. As for the plot of this sequel, it’ll follow the resurrection of ol’ JC himself, Jesus Christ. If the film gets off the ground, it’ll be interesting to see whether original star Jim Caviezel will be returning as Jesus.

At present, there’s no confirmation whether this sequel will be called The Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This and will star Chris Tucker teaming with the retuning Caviezel. Similarly, the tagline “The son of God is really a son of a bitch” has yet to be confirmed…

After Root from Person of Interest died for Finch's sins and The Machine aka POI's God took her voice for a personal use... oops my bad, after Root transcended to The Machine it's probably Amy Acker who should play Jesus in this sequel.

Amy Acker needs her own show you guys. Someone make it happen.
