Whilst we’ve known that star Ryan Reynolds was returning and that writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were already working on a script, now comes confirmation that director Tim Miller will be back for Deadpool 2.

From their CinemaCon presentation, 20th Century Fox confirmed that the entire Deadpool creative team will be back for the sequel. No details are known in terms of plot at this early stage, and the film is yet to be given a release date, but all systems are indeed go for a Deadpool sequel.

The follow-up was a no-brainer from the moment Deadpool hit the big screen, with the Merc with a Mouth’s outing becoming the highest grossing R-rated movie of all-time, the highest grossing X-Men movie, and currently sitting as the highest grossing film of 2016.
