SUICIDE SQUAD's Harley Quinn Nearly Looked Very Different

With Warner Brothers’ Suicide Squad set to arrive later this year, long-time DC fans will finally be getting the cinematic debut of fan favourite rogue, Harley Quinn. Now, we’ve seen plenty of images of just how Margot Robbie’s Harley will look, but the costume of The Joker’s main squeeze was so nearly very different.

Whilst speaking to HelloGiggles, Robbie herself revealed that Harley’s original jester costume nearly made it into the film, not to mention that there were also several other looks under consideration. The actress said, “We tried on every variation of the costume. I cannot emphasize enough how many outfits and how many variations of the Harley Quinn costume we tried. We tried the court jester costume, we tried the corset and skirt. I really love where we ended up. And who knows, maybe in the sequels we’ll go with the court jester one. I think there’s a world of possibilities.”

It was only last week that we reported that plans are already in place for a Suicide Squad sequel to start shooting next year, such are the high hopes from Warners that the first film will prove to be a success.

To be directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad will be released on August 5th. In case you've yet to check out any of the trailers, be sure to have a look at the latest one in the player below:
