As well as playing a pivotal role in this year’s Rogue One: A Star War Story, it looks as if Diego Luna could be about to sign on to headline the remake of 1990’s Flatliners.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that the actor is in talks to join the redo, which already has Ellen Page on board and will be helmed by Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’s Niels Arden.

The original Flatliners, directed by Joel Schumacher, was a sci-fi horror starring Julia Roberts, Keifer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt, and William Baldwin. Plot-wise, the film centred on some medical students who discover who to visit the afterlife and somehow come back to the land of the living.

As ever, expect more on this as and when it develops.
