Movie News: THE AVENGERS Scores Silvestri

Movie News

Sticking with THE AVENGERS news for a while (until another needless reboot is inevitably announced later today), Alan Silvestri has now officially been revealed as the film's composer.

This marks his second Marvel Studios gig after scoring this year's CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, and doing a bang-up job to boot!

The fearsomely prolific Silvestri has composed several acclaimed movie scores over the years, including the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy, FORREST GUMP, WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, and PREDATOR 1 & 2 to name just a few. He probably wouldn't want us to mention the fact he also did MAC AND ME, so we won't.

THE AVENGERS hits May 4th 2012.
