Movie News

As the film starts to bring together an impressive ensemble, Kong: Skull Island has added John Goodman to its ranks.

Deadline is reporting the news, with Goodman’s exact role yet to be confirmed at this stage. Additionally, Variety has word that Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’s Thomas Mann is in final talks to join the film. The pair join a cast that already includes Tom Hiddleston, Toby Kebbell, Brie Larson, John C. Reilly, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Wilkinson, Jason Mitchell, and Corey Hawkins.

Very little is known about the plot of Skull Island, although the focus will be on Kong’s titular island home and the beasts that inhabit it as Tom Hiddleston leads a group of explorers on the hunt for his brother and a magical serum.

To be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island is currently set for a March 10th, 2017 release.
