Yesterday Universal unveiled their banner art for their upcoming fairy tale epic SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN, today they've got something a little more exciting - the first trailer! It's certainly not your grandmother's Snow White, that's for sure...

Oh, and those bemoaning the lack of dwarf coverage in the aforementioned promo art yesterday, prepare to be happy (unless you're a serious photoshop user, in which case look away now)...

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her.  Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN opens June next year.

Personally i think this Snow white should so obviously have had a fair lady, not a prince charming. But enough of the facts. lol I do want to watch this movie, and despite of all the bad comments about her acting, i do like Kristen. But choosing some one like Theron to be "fairer" then is a little far fetched, unless they "Monster" her up again. Just saying.

Lovely Chris, perfect casting for the huntsmen. I just hope this proves to be something worthy of the title Snow white, as this dark tale has always been a favourite.
