Robert Eggers to Helm NOSFERATU Redo

Movie News

In a subgenre in which retellings and remakes are commonplace, another redo of F.W. Murnau’s seminal Nosferatu is on the way.

Murnau’s film itself was stunningly remade back in 1979 by Werner Herzog, and this new take on the film will be produced by Studio 8 and helmed by Robert Eggers. The director wowed all-comers at this year’s Sundance with his debut film, The Witch.

This new Nosferatu is being described by Deadline as a “visceral adaptation” of the famed horror classic.

As ever, expect more on this as it develops.
