Movie News

Laika are the production company that brought us the brilliant and clever CORALINE from director Henry Selick in 2009. Now they are back with another stop motion effort; PARANORMAN.

PARANORMAN tells the tale of Norman, a young boy who can communicate with the dead and who must save his town when it becomes infested with zombies. The first teaser trailer has now appeared online for the whole world to see:

I love the whole dark kids movie sensibility and this looks like it could be tremendous fun. PARANORMAN is directed by Chris Butler and Sam Fell and features the voice talents of Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Kodi Smitt-McPhee and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The film is due for release in late summer 2012, although it looks like the perfect movie to show the kids at Halloween.
