Soska Sisters to Direct PLASTIC Adaptation

Movie News

Here at Moonbase Alpha we make no secret of being huge fans of Jen and Sylvia Soska, and so it’s mightily cool to see the Twisted Twins announce that their next movie will be an adaptation of Frank Strausser’s Plastic.

Plot-wise, Plastic’s premise reads: “A celebrated Beverly Hills plastic surgeon risks everything to uncover the truth behind a crime, the disfigurement of an international pop star.”

An international pop star? Clearly that’s a part screaming out for David Hasselhoff, no?

Whilst we jest about The Hoff, it’s always a good day when you wake up to news of another Soskas movie getting the green light. After all, these are two of the most impressive talents in modern-day horror and the minds behind Dead Hooker in a Trunk, the See No Evil series, who took part in The ABCs of Death 2, and who of course wowed everybody with the stunning American Mary. In addition to this, they’re also still looking at a Painkiller Jane adaptation as well as working with Deadpool writer Daniel Way on the upcoming (and brilliantly titled) Kill-Crazy Nymphos Attack!

Up next for the Soskas is Vendetta, a balls-to-the-wall revenge movie starring Dean Cain and the WWE’s Big Show. When we spoke to the girls towards the end of last year, they enthusiastically said, “If you were to tell me two weeks before we went into production that Dean Cain is the baddest motherfucker I’ll ever work with, I probably would’ve laughed. You’ve never seen Dean Cain like this. This is basically our ‘Punisher vs. The Kingpin’ story.” Sounds pretty damn awesome to us, although UK fans will have to wait until August 31st for Vendetta to be released on DVD.

Expect to hear more on Plastic as it develops, and you can keep up to date with the project by visiting the film’s Facebook page.
