Matthew Vaughn in Talks for FLASH GORDON

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Matthew Vaughn is in talks to direct the upcoming redo of FLASH GORDON. Vaughn is best known for helming the likes of LAYER CAKE, KICK-ASS, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE.

20th Century Fox has been developing this latest FLASH for a while now, with J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay having already put together a script, and John Davis and George Nolfi on board as producers.
