Movie News

Sony Pictures have added another property to its growing roster of high-profile big-screen videogame adaptations heading our way. Joining the already in-development UNCHARTED and InFAMOUS flicks comes ASSASSINS CREED, based on Ubisoft’s monumentally popular series.

Ubisoft themselves will have a hand in the creative control of the property through their recently formed Ubisoft Motion Pictures, which will hopefully protect the property from too much studio interference (something which continually threatens the integrity of the UNCHARTED movie). Why Hollywood is routinely compelled to deviate from the source so dramatically is beyond us – game developers clearly know what they’re doing and the fans know what they want, why re-think it? This could truly be, if you can pardon the pun, a game changer.

We’ll have more news for you as soon as it drops.
