Just days after Ryan Reynolds teased fans with a brief glimpse of the titular DEADPOOL’s cinematic outfit, now comes word that the film has added a new cast member.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, MMA fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano has been added to the film in the role of Angel Dust. The character is a minor one in the comic book world of the X-Men, with her main appearances coming in 2002’s MORLOCKS mini-series. Her ability is that she can increase her adrenaline levels in order to gain super strength. Carano has also appeared in HAYWIRE, IN THE BLOOD and, err, FURIOUS 6.

As well as Reynolds and Carano, also on board for the Merc with a Mouth tale are T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein.

Penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Tim Miller’s DEADPOOL is currently set for a February 12th, 2016 release.
