Female Lead Revealed for STAR WARS Spin-Off?

Movie News

It appears that the first standalone STAR WARS film may have found one of its leads. There’s also details on what the focus of the spin-off will be. It goes without saying, but treat this as rumour for now.

StarWarsUnderworld is reporting that the two characters at the centre of Gareth Edwards’ film will be Boba Fett and Sabine Wren. Wren has recently been seen in the hugely fun STAR WARS REBELS and will apparently be played by ORPHAN BLACK’s Tatiana Maslany.

Obviously Boba Fett is well known to STAR WARS fans, but for those not familiar with Sabine Wren, she’s a Mandalorian weapons expert who’s one of the good guys. And yes, STAR WARS REBELS is deemed canon with the rest of the standard STAR WARS universe.

As mentioned, treat this as speculation and rumour until something more official comes out.

Gareth Edwards’ STAR WARS movie is currently set for a December 16th, 2016 release.
