Movie News

As yesterday brought news that INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3’s release had been moved back by a few weeks, today brings confirmation of a specific release date for James Wan’s THE CONJURING 2. The follow-up to last year’s THE CONJURING, one of the best horrors of the last decade, will hit screens on June 10th, 2016.

Whereas recent spin-off ANNABELLE served as a prequel of sorts to an element of the original film, THE CONJURING 2 will be a straight-up sequel which will again be based on a real life case of Ed and Lorraine Warren. It’s presumed that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will reprise their roles of Ed and Lorraine, respectively.

Much like James Wan will be returning to direct, Chad and Carey Hayes will also be returning to pen the screenplay for the sequel.
