In a recent blog post, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that Dark Souls II will be open to users for a limited time as a stress test for their servers. Opening on Sunday the 27th of this month, the title will allow players to access current content for a total of three hours between 07:00AM and 10:00AM GMT.

This is an opportunity available to those who missed the previous US beta on the 12th October, and will be available for download ahead of time in the Exclusives section of the PlayStation Plus store. This will be a worldwide release and being both beta and a test of their server capabilities, glitches and issues are likely to happen.

The previous beta contained only a limited fraction of the overall game, consisting of two bosses and a chunk of one or two areas to be explored. At this time it is currently unknown if the upcoming beta will do the same. However, some articles have stated that the beta will contain “an entirely new area of the game” and “overwhelming enemy encounters”.

The title is set for full release in Australia and Europe on the 14th of March, three days behind the release in America.
