According to reports, the third game in the BATMAN ARKHAM series is set to feature a multiplayer mode that allows players to take control of villains.

Kotaku claims that ‘two independent sources’ have shared details about a multiplayer mode that sees you play as a member of Joker or Bane’s gang against Batman and Robin. They also suggest other villains like Killer Croc, Deadshot, Firefly, Black Mask and Deathstroke as potentially playable and customizable in the game.

It all sounds pretty marvelous (or DC-lous?), but this is still unconfirmed so restrain your best Joker impressions for now. Despite the fact that these sources correctly speculated about the release of a new game and its front cover.

Alright, maybe just the one “why so serious”.

BATMAN ARKHAM ORIGINS is set for release on October 25th for Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
