There are rumours afoot that Halo 2, the acclaimed sequel featuring Master Chief will be getting a HD facelift. The studio who will be bringing this sci-fi saga up to date will be 343 Industries. If that name rings a bell, that’s because they are also developing Halo 4. The newest entry of the franchise is being released this November.
Halo 2 had trouble during development; this is no secret. It also had multiple release date delays. The game from a visual standpoint was very ambitious for the time, which resulted in a number of things not quite living up to the already substantial expectations. There were numerous times during the game when textures would pop or the frame rate would drop. If this remake means that the game can be fully appreciated, then it is only a positive thing. The adventures of Master Chief will finally be available on one platform. This is a good thing for those people who like their gaming shelf well organised.
