SEGA and developers Three Rings Design have teamed up with BBC Worldwide Digital Entertainment to bring us DOCTOR WHO: WORLDS IN TIME, a new browser-based online MMO for fans of the show and gamers alike. Best of all, it's free!

Any would-be time-travellers eager to assist the Doctor on his adventures can now hop on over to the official site and sign up for beta testing to preview the game before it's released in full early next year.

Enviroments already promised include New New York, Skaro and Messaline. As for villains, expect appearances by Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels to name but three!

Here's the trailer...

Ok, so it's not exactly THE OLD REPUBLIC or WORLD OF WARCRAFT but we can't deny it has a certain charm. And as we pointed out earlier, it's free, so who are we to grumble!
